The Manon Quartet
The newly formed Thatcham Performing Arts Society presents the award-winning Manon Quartet, who are giving the first concert in the Tea and Cakes concert series for 2017, in the Old Bluecoat School.
The Manon Quartet was formed in 2013 by musicians from the Royal College of Music in London. Since then, they have won several awards and have performed at many venues across the UK, including the Wigmore Hall and the Elgar Room at the Royal Festival Hall – and the Old Bluecoat School!
They are performing Quartets by Haydn (Op 54 No 2 in C major) and Schubert (No 14 “Death and the Maiden”).
This concert is on Sunday 5 February 2017, and, unusually, it will start at 3pm as Ren (violin) has to catch a plane to Finland, for an audition. Tea and cakes will of course be served beforehand.
Tickets cost £10 (£5 for school age children) on the door and available from Lily’s ladies Fashion in the Kingsland Centre, Thatcham.
Do come if you can – it will be good!
